The Silent Mind
Technique™ is a non-invasive, non-drug, trauma healing
method. However, a number of complications can occur during
the treatment and you need to be prepared for them in case
they arise.
1. Negative feelings when "new" voices/thoughts arise
between sessions. Most people have between 10 and 25 voices
although they are often only aware of a few of them (non
voice hearers have the same amount as voice hearers - they
are just not aware of them). We start by eliminating the
voices that you are aware of but it is a bit like getting
rid of the rowdy drunks from a bar. Once they are gone, you
notice the quieter ones you were not aware of before.
Consequently, seemingly "new" voices can arise between
sessions and feelings of despair can accompany them if you
are not prepared ahead of time.
2. Feelings of loss once the voices have gone. At a deep,
subconscious level, we feel we need the voices in order to
survive. Once the voices have gone, feelings of loss can
sometimes arise. We can usually deal with this related
trauma very quickly.
3. Change in relationships. The same prenatal trauma that
causes voices also causes dysfunctional attraction both to
friends and partners. Once the underlying trauma is healed,
the dysfunctional element in people's relationship may
disappear. This can sometimes be disturbing for clients
and/or their partners. We have a range of techniques to
help clients deal with this if should it arise.
However, we
cannot guarantee that your relationships and the way you
view the world will not change as a result of this
treatment.
4. Feeling tired, 'spacey' or very peaceful after a
session. After a
session, clients sometimes report feeling tired, 'spacey'
or very peaceful. This is a consequence of healing deep
trauma. It is good therefore not to plan to rush away after
a session. Ideally it is best to take a few minutes after
the session to relax and re-adjust after the treatment
before heading off.
